Post Description
a 55-minute tape elaborating on the martial art of aikido and Steven Seagal"s teaching of it. Thus, I give all aikidoka fair warning that anything that you read below in regards to aikido is not meant to be interpreted as fact: it"s simply what I saw and my opinion of it.
For starters, this is not what you would regard an educational video on martial arts, but an account of action hero Steven Seagal"s way of teaching it. The tape features interviews with several of Seagal"s students (among them producer/stuntman Binh Dang, stuntman Larry Reynosa, and stuntman/actor Craig Dunn - all of whom have contributed to Seagal"s Hollywood career in some way) which often serve as voice-overs to video footage of Seagal"s classes and demonstrations throughout the years, from what"s clearly his pre-acting career to apparently shortly before the tape"s release in 2001. With the exception of the titles, there is little more to see other than these sit-down interviews and the aikido footage; no excess aesthetics or drama of any kind.
