TOELICHTING 
Pele, Zico en Romario schitterden er, maar ook Paul McCartney en Elton John: het enorme Maracanã-stadion in Rio de Janeiro (capaciteit: 100.000) is hét podium voor de grootste artiesten van de wereld. 
Op 16 december 2006 speelde Ivette Sangalo, de populairste zangeres van Brazilië, een thuiswedstrijd in het stadion. No Maracanã is het verslag van dat concert. De stemming zit er direct vanaf het eerste nummer goed in. Sangalo zweept het stadion op tot een kolkende massa. Een uitgebreide band en 
een grote dansgroep staat haar daarin bij. De vakkundige band, vele verkleedpartijen en het spectaculaire vuurwerk kunnen alleen niet verhullen dat Sangalo geen groots zangeres is. 
Af en toe lijkt het erop of ze adem te kort komt. Sangalo sprint en springt dan ook wat af op het kolossale podium. De Spaanse charmezanger Alejandro Sanz zorgt voor wat rust tijdens het ingetogen duet Corazon Partio. De dvd bevat ook een reportage van Sangalo?s bezoek aan Europa en de voorbereidingen voor haar grote show in Rio. (PdK)
